Experienced leadership for District 29 with heart and integrity

Meet Ann Hoggarth

Ann Hoggarth is a lifelong North Dakotan, technology professional, public servant, and mother who is running for the North Dakota House of Representatives in District 29 because she believes strong communities are built when everyday citizens are willing to step forward and serve.

Ann brings a unique combination of private-sector experience and local government leadership to the race. During her time at Microsoft, she worked on an engineering team supporting a Microsoft Education service used by K–12 schools and universities across the country. Her work helped schools streamline class management, simplify user access, and improve digital learning tools for teachers and students. The project helped schools modernize their technology systems, reduce administrative burdens on IT departments, and ensure students could continue learning from anywhere.

Following a corporate reorganization in 2023, Ann launched her own business to continue supporting School Data Sync and the school districts that rely on it. Through this work, she continues to help schools manage technology systems that support teachers, students, and administrators.

Ann also brings hands-on experience in local government. She currently serves as the City Auditor for Buchanan, where she works closely with local leaders and residents to ensure responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars and transparent government operations. She previously served on the

the local school board and was elected District 29 Republican District Chair from 2023 to 2025, where she worked to strengthen grassroots engagement and encourage civic participation.

Ann is the proud mother of five sons and grandmother to nine grandchildren. Her experiences raising a family, serving her community, and working in both the public and private sectors have shaped her belief that strong families, strong communities, and responsible government are the foundation of North Dakota’s future.

Faith plays a central role in how Ann approaches public service. She believes that restoring moral clarity, humility, and accountability in government begins with recognizing that our rights and responsibilities come from something greater than government itself. Ann is committed to leading with integrity, compassion, and respect for the values that have long guided North Dakota families.

Ann is running for the Legislature because she believes this is a moment when leadership matters. She wants to ensure North Dakota remains a place where families can thrive, communities stay strong, and future generations have the opportunity to succeed.
